Precision NanoSystems, Inc. Wins Generator Competition to Secure Additional Facilities for Operations

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada – Precision NanoSystems, Inc. (PNI), a privately held biotechnology company developing proprietary microfluidic-based manufacturing technology for the use and development of cutting edge nanomedicines, today announced it has been awarded a position in the competitive Generator program by Discovery Parks and the City of Vancouver, securing upto 1,000 sqft of facilities free of rent for 1 year.   PNI will utilize the space for day-to-day operations and initial manufacturing of its NanoAssemblrTM Benchtop Instruments.

PNI’s CEO, Dr. James Taylor, commented, “Being awarded a space in the Generator program demonstrates PNI’s commercial potential and readiness, and places PNI within a network of other highly promising Vancouver based start-up companies.  The awarded facilities will satisfy PNI’s non-laboratory needs for 2013, and assist PNI in executing its commercialization strategy.  PNI appreciates the ongoing support from the Vancouver entrepreneurial community, including Discovery Parks and the City of Vancouver.”

About the Generator Program

Discovery Parks and the City of Vancouver have teamed up to create the Generator, a Vancouver-area competition that invites early-stage technology based companies to apply for free workspace at the Discovery Parks Vancouver facility for 1 year. The competition awards a total of 5,000 square feet of space to companies that demonstrate a high probability of success and future potential to grow—up to 1,000 sq. ft. of space per company.
